This was our favorite place we have stayed in Pointe West so far! The condo has literally everything we needed, was beautifully decorated and beds were super comfortable! We had a little trouble with check in, but the owner was very responsive and helpful! The condo is very conveniently located within the resort, making getting to the beach and using the pool and game room so easy! - Emily G.

We truly had a blissfully wonderful stay over the July 4th week! Upon our arrival, the condo was very clean, updated and decorated so beautifully. The beachfront views from the balcony are perfection for sipping morning coffee or just hanging out enjoying the ocean breeze. :) The beds are extremely comfortable, too! My family and I slept very well and woke up so refreshed each day. The condo was very spacious and well stocked with anything we needed. The storage closet downstairs is also stocked with a variety of beach toys, boogie boards, chairs, wagon, tent, etc! The sweet owner, Lisa, even dropped off a new tent during our stay after the one we used from the closet finally gave out. That was incredibly kind! The condo is also in a perfect location and so convenient to the beach pier, pool and restaurant. Overall the condo was exceptional, and we plan to stay again next summer! We had an absolute PERFECT vacation at Arthur's Beachfront Bliss! As a family with a baby, the high chair, pack-n-play, and washer/dryer were all SO valuable. The place was very clean, decor beautiful, and all of the seating/beds were extremely comfortable. There was not an item that we wanted for; everything was well-supplied, down to sugar cubes in a bag (to protect from ocean moisture) for morning coffee! And beach towels: so nice to not have to pack these on a flight with 3 kids.

We highly recommend the 2 minute drive to the association's other pool, which is heated and great for kids with a wade-in area, lazy river, and place for general swim. We also did multiple walks per day to the beach and the kiddos loved hunting for seashells and making sand castles...much beach equipment was provided in the locker downstairs, which was so handy.

The elevator worked flawlessly the entire time we were there, which was key since we had a stroller. This was a memorable vacation for us as we celebrated a milestone birthday in our family (adult 40th), so we will always remember this vacation - we had perfect weather every day, a luxurious place to stay, and we saw and did so many great things in Galveston (Harbor dolphin tour, wonderful seafood dinners and lunches, Moody Gardens one day, all the various shops in DT Galveston which our kids LOVED). The only con is the drive to Galveston takes 30+ minutes, but we knew this going in and planned our days accordingly.

A beautiful, comfortable place with great owners, you can tell they really care about this property and their guests!

We love Pointe West, and have rented multiple units over the past few years. This place was the cleanest we’ve ever had at a PW condo, and the beachfront, right next to the beach club is such a perfect location. The property is beautiful with an incredible spacious porch where we enjoyed the sunrise each morning. Our entire group of 8 could sit outside comfortably, which was fantastic since the weather was rainy. Even though we didn’t sit at the beach, everyone in the group said it was one of our best beach excursions because the property was so nice. The host was very easy to work with and made it easy to change our dates when a family conflict arose 2 weeks before the trip. I almost don’t want to say too many good things because I want the place to be available for next time we vacation! 🤣 - Danette M.

Beautifully appointed property. The ocean view is amazing and with the clubhouse and beach so close it made it super convenient for us. We prepared and ate most all our meals there and found the kitchen had everything we needed. Bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. Elevators worked fine the whole week we were there. Contacting the owners was really easy. We have been vacationing in Galveston every summer for 24 years and this was the best experience so far. We would love to come back next summer! - Jay C.

The condo actually felt like a house. It has everything you could possibly need. Super clean, beautiful and cozy. Lisa was easy to get in touch with and answered all of our questions. We had a beautiful view of the beach and easy access to it. The club next door had a great pool, restaurant and bar. We spent one day down at the Strand and the next day at the pool. We had a great family stay here on the west end of Galveston away from the bustle of the downtown/pier section. The corner unit has a great deck with an unobstructed view of the Gulf and easy beach access. There are plenty of toys in a locker inside the garage that guests can use (boards, kayaks, beach wagon, etc). Newly remodeled with clean, new furniture, paint, and kitchen counters and appliances. The building is right next to the Pointe West Beach Club with pool, game room, and restaurant (you can get a free band to get to the restaurant but it's an additional $15/person to use the club facilities). Beds were comfy, linens clean, and comfy furnishings. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you'd have in your home from coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, washer/dryer, etc. It's a turn key vacation home with everything you'd need. We'd definitely stay here again. - Christian H.

This is probably the nicest 3 bed 3 bath condo we’ve stayed at clean quiet owner easy to get ahold of for any reason. Decks and view off both sides really nice. - Ben D.

This property was absolutely beautiful and well-stocked with everything we needed inside and on the beach. We had everything we needed to cook for our large party (5 adults, 3 kids). Beds were super comfortable and living room sectional was large. Lots of indoor activities (games, puzzles, great books). Pool area is a short walk away and we especially enjoyed the large hot tub. Beach also a short walk away. Could not have asked for a better location.

Only downside is the unit is beneath another and we could hear people walking on floor above us. - Sara W.

Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place was. I took my two teenage boys for a weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect. Definitely the best resort in Galveston. The condo itself is so roomy - plenty of space for all of us to be together but still have privacy. The photos don’t do it justice either - it’s the closest unit both to the beach - and to the beach club. Amazing sunrise views over coffee. Their locker is stacked with everything families of all ages would need for the beach. And we used them all :) Beach club is also heavenly - staked with pools, a hot tub and a great gym (that we were too busy to use.) And there’s a whole other lazy river pool bayside to catch the sunset! Such a quick drive from Houston- but you feel worlds away. Host couldn’t have been more responsive and accommodating. ‘Above the Waves’ was the most impressive condo to which we have ever stayed! Because this condo is nearly 20 miles from a Galveston proper, the owners made sure you have everything you need during your stay. So many amenities provided for your convenience. Beautiful and tastefully decorated, comfortable, views for miles, steps to the beach, and private. Our expectations were met and exceeded! Private balcony, huge swimming pool, lazy river, books, movies, great TV, comfortable bed! The list goes on! You will not regret booking ‘Above the Waves’!

We have been coming to Pointe West for 10 years. This was the absolute best condo we ever stayed in! They had so many extras! Beach towels, Bluetooth speaker, tons of beach toys, great kitchen with everything we needed! The kids loved the wii! They left us a bound book of helpful instructions! The hosts were quick to respond to my questions! I would LOVE to stay here again! - Jen

The condo was absolutely lovely. The pictures are entirely accurate. The deck overlooking the ocean is beyond spectacular. The host makes every beach and pool toy we could imagine using, available. There is a traditional coffee pot coffee maker and a Keurig so if you have your favorite coffee brand, bring a keurig pod. The electronic access was tricky for me because I am old but my 20 something daughter had no problem and the host was responsive when I let her know that I needed additional information. All around fabulous place to play at the beach or, better yet, no need to get salty because the pool and amenities are so fun. Thank you for a fabulous gathering spot! - Annie

Beautiful, tranquil space and excellent hosts. Our family enjoyed the condo, beach, pool, and trips to Galveston for dinner, Kings candy, and Pleasure Pier. There was unexpected maintenance on the West End water lines our first night - and Elyse and Eric informed us, stayed in touch, and reassured us that they would continue to communicate and refund us appropriately. ‘Above the Waves’ was the most impressive condo to which we have ever stayed! I have stayed in many vacation homes and condos as I much prefer that to a hotel. What I loved about this unit was how very well equipped it was. It felt like being welcomed into their home, but still your own space. We very much appreciated having beach towels provided and access to everything for the beach--toys, wagon, umbrella, chairs. Everything inside was comfortable with extra touches like multiple outlets near the beds and even a white noise machine. The hosts go above and beyond to address any need you may have. When we arrived there was a power outage and Elyse kept in touch with us all evening until the power came back about 5 hours later. One of the 3 things that rank for me in renting a beach place is the patio furniture (along with distance to the beach and type of sofa). The balcony had ample, comfortable seating and the large sofa in the living room along with chairs was plenty of seating for 4 adults and a child. We would definitely return! - Lori

This was our second time this year to stay in this condo. That probably says it all. The condo is beautiful and the location, spectacular. All of that is worth the price of the unit. Beyond that, however, the hosts went way beyond the expected and made an already special weekend even more memorable by pampering us with extra love. Elyse's place is perfect. It's a bit south from the main boardwalk area, which is actually great. You still have access to a fantastic beachfront, and the unit is laid out perfectly. It is also very well-furnished and feels much larger than it actually is. I am planning on returning. - Mark

We had an amazing stay Above The Waters. Location was great — easy walk to the beach and plenty of fun beach supplies for us and the kiddos to make the best use of our time! Rented golf cart to experience “the tunnel” but also would’ve been very easy to just drive to the second, heated pool with lazy river.

Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful, accommodating our needs and providing some good proactive heads ups and recommendations.

We loved the games and puzzles, and great sleeping arrangements with plenty of space.
